To live in discontent chained to the status quo
has been classified as an inside crime

When a world in need of change
is knocking at your door
When you fail to answer it's an inside crime

and its punishment is to live in quiet seclusion
of the pain and suffering you refused to change

To put a ceiling on your own ability to try
You can and will be charged for an inside crime
When self- limiting beliefs have taken hostage of your mind
To walk away in fear is an inside crime

and its punishment is to live without knowing the things
you might have done if only you'd tried, tried, tried

To live a life of hatred, prejudice and spite can only be classified
as an inside crime
And not inviting in forgiveness in your heart, you'll be tried
and found on an inside crime

and its punishment is to live exiled in anger
a felony of the heart and mind it's an inside crime
